Jessica Biggs for Chicago School Board President!

The 40th Ward Democrats are proud to support Jessica Biggs for Chicago School Board President.

Jessica Biggs presents a direct, no-nonsense approach centered on governance, accountability, and the responsibilities of the office. Our impression is that she would lead firmly and candidly while balancing the perspectives of a new, 21-member elected board.

It was clear to us that Jessica Biggs is uniquely qualified for this position at this time in the school board's history to become the first ever elected CPS Board President. Jessica has served in multiple capacities, has the support of some incredible labor organizations like SEIU, Operating Engineers Local 150, and LiUNA, and has received more contributions from Chicagoans than any other campaign.

A CPS mother, a former CPS Principal and middle school and high school special education teacher, and a community organizer in Bronzeville, Jessica has the qualifications both in her professional and lived experience and is unafraid to meet this extraordinary challenge and that is what is truly compelling about her commitment to the position.
