Kyna Lenhof for Chicago School Board, District 2B

The 40th Ward Democrats are proud to support 40th Ward’s very own Kyna Lenhof for Chicago School, District 2B.

Kyna Lenhof has served as Treasurer of the 40th Ward Democrats since our organization’s founding in 2020. To call Kyna a community leader would be an understatement. For years, she has lived, worked, and served in our community, consistently showing up for the people who call it home.

When Kyna decided to run for office, we were especially excited to support her because supporting others is exactly what she has done for decades. A former Chicago Public Schools special education teacher, lifelong Democrat, and dedicated advocate for our most vulnerable populations, Kyna brings compassion, experience, and an unwavering commitment to public service. She also has the drive and energy needed to serve effectively on our newly elected School Board. When she isn’t working or knocking on doors for her campaign, you’ll find her running in the district and training for the 2026 Chicago Marathon.

Kyna’s campaign for School Board in District 2B is rooted in community. She is committed to bringing our voices to the table, listening to parents, students, teachers, and CPS principals, and understanding the needs of our school communities firsthand. She will work to pass a balanced budget and ensure that students and families have the resources they need to thrive in strong neighborhood schools.
